Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON - Nepal Dhitopatra Board), Khumaltar, Lalitpur Advertisement for Open and Inclusive Competitive Examination for Filling Positions

Based on the approval received from the Public Service Commission, applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens for filling the following permanent positions at the SEBON through open and inclusive competitive examination as per the SEBON Staff Service Terms and Conditions Regulations, 2068 (including amendments).


Candidates who meet the specified minimum qualifications are invited to apply through the online application system by visiting the Board's website at https://www.sebon.gov.np under the Career Tab, or directly through the link https://career.sebon.gov.np. If the last date for submitting the application falls on a holiday, the application can be submitted on the next working day.


The written examination will be conducted by the Public Service Commission. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.

Application Submission Location:

Applications must be submitted through the online application system by visiting the Career Tab on the Board's website at https://www.sebon.gov.np or directly through the link https://career.sebon.gov.np.

Documents to be Uploaded:

Candidates must upload their Nepali citizenship certificate, educational qualifications, experience certificates, documents proving inclusion in a specific group, and any other documents specified in the relevant advertisement.

These documents must be uploaded in PDF/JPG/PNG format in the designated section of the online application system.

Candidates who have obtained their educational qualifications from a country other than Nepal must also upload a copy of the equivalence determination certificate along with their application.

Candidates themselves will be fully responsible for the accuracy of the details provided in the application.

Application Deadline and Age Limit:

The final date for submitting applications is 2081/05/27 BS. Applications can be submitted with double the fee until 2081/06/03 BS.

For the positions of Officer, Third Class, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not exceed 35 years of age by 2081/05/27 BS. However, the age limit for female candidates is 40 years.

For the positions of Assistant, First and Second Class, candidates must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 35 years of age by 2081/05/21 BS. However, the age limit for female candidates is 40 years.

Job Responsibilities:

The selected candidates will be required to work under the management of SEBON (Securities Board of Nepal).

Written Examination Date:

The examination date will be published according to the schedule maintained by the Public Service Commission.

Examination Fees:

Candidates are required to pay the following examination fees for each advertisement. Candidates applying under multiple inclusive groups will need to pay an additional fee for each extra group.


Officer, Third Class: NPR 2,000 (Two Thousand)

Senior Assistant: NPR 1,000 (One Thousand)

Assistant: NPR 800 (Eight Hundred)

Officer, Third Class: NPR 200 (Two Hundred)

Senior Assistant: NPR 200 (Two Hundred)

Assistant: NPR 200 (Two Hundred)

Special Notice Regarding the Advertisement: Positions will be filled in accordance with the necessary legal provisions related to inclusive groups, as per the order issued by the honorable Supreme Court on 2079/10/24 BS concerning writ petition No. 078-WO-0660 and others.


Minimum Qualifications Required:

For Officer, Third Class, Administration Service, Assistant Director Position:

Must have a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Management from a recognized educational institution, or a Master’s degree in Law with a major in Commercial Law, or hold a Chartered Accountancy or Chartered Financial Analyst qualification.

For Senior Assistant, First Class, Administration Service:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or Commerce with Law or Information Technology as a major subject from a recognized educational institution.

For Assistant, Second Class, Administration Service:

Must have passed the certificate level or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.


Special Instructions for Candidates Applying Under Inclusive Group Advertisements:

Candidates wishing to apply for positions under the inclusive group must prepare and submit the following documents at the time of application. Upon being selected for an interview based on the results of the written examination, candidates must bring the original documents along with self-certified copies when appearing for the interview. If the documents uploaded at the time of application are not available, the application may be canceled at any time.


(a) For Indigenous/Janajati Candidates: A certificate confirming that the candidate belongs to a caste listed under the Nepal Indigenous/Janajati Upliftment National Foundation Act, based on that list. If there are multiple surnames within the caste listed, a certificate from the Chief District Officer confirming the surname within the listed caste, recommended by the local authority, must be provided.


(b) For Madhesi Candidates: A certificate confirming that the candidate is Madhesi, issued by an institution designated by the Nepal government and published in the Nepal Gazette. If not designated, a certificate from the Chief District Officer confirming Madhesi status, recommended by the local authority, must be provided.


Note:

Candidates must not be disqualified under the Nepal Securities Board Staff Service Terms and Conditions Regulations, 2068 (including amendments).


Internal competitive examinations and open and inclusive competitive examinations within each service will be conducted jointly in a single sitting.


Candidates submitting applications must pay the specified examination fee within the stipulated deadline or within seven days after the deadline with double the fee. Payment can be made through ConnectIPS, e-Sewa, and Khalti available in the online application system on the Board’s website https://www.sebon.gov.np under the Career tab at https://career.sebon.gov.np. Candidates must bear the service charges incurred for this payment.


The extended period with double fees will not be counted for the purposes of age, educational qualification, experience period, and other qualifications.


Applications that are not submitted within the specified deadline, do not meet the minimum qualifications, lack the required details, or do not include the specified fees will not be accepted.


Candidates must have obtained the required educational qualifications by the last date of application submission. Candidates who have studied at foreign institutions must have their qualifications recognized by the relevant authority.


The Recruitment Committee reserves the right to cancel any application without providing a reason.


Candidates must use black ink only during the examination. Otherwise, the answer sheet will be canceled.


The syllabus can be obtained from the Board’s website at www.sebon.gov.np.


When attending the written examination, candidates must bring their original citizenship certificate and the admit card downloaded from the Board’s online application system.
