The Radio Broadcasting Service Development Committee (Radio Nepal) has issued a notice inviting applications for an open competitive examination to fill vacant posts within the organization. The notice is a call to action for interested and eligible Nepali citizens who meet the specified requirements. The positions are open for application for 21 days from the publication date of this notification.

How to Apply

Interested applicants can fill out the application form available on our official website, www.radionepal.gov.np. Please follow the instructions provided on the website to complete your application.


The following documents need to be uploaded along with your application:

> Your Nepali citizenship certificate

> Transcript of your most recent educational qualification

> Character certificate

> If applicable, educational qualifications obtained from countries other than Nepal, accompanied by a decision from Tribhuvan University (TU).

> Candidates currently working in Nepal Government or government-owned institutes should also attach departmental approval to their application.


Submission Deadline

The deadline for application is 21 days from the date of this announcement. Late submissions will not be accepted.


Examination Fee

Please note that there is an examination fee, which can be paid online through e-Sewa or Connect IPS. Cash payments will not be accepted. Incomplete applications, applications without the prescribed minimum educational qualifications, or applications without the necessary examination fee will not be processed.


Application Process

All applications must be submitted online through our official website, www.radionepal.gov.np. Ensure you follow the instructions on the website and attach all required documentation.


Application Fees

Applicants will need to submit an application fee based on the level they are applying for. The fees are Rs 1200 for Level 9, 1100 for Level 7, 900 for Level 6, 500 for Level 5 and 400 for Level 4.

If an applicant wishes to apply for more than one group within the same position, an additional fee of 200 will be charged for each group. Fees can be submitted online via e-Sewa or Connect IPS.


Age Requirement

To qualify, applicants must fall within the following age ranges:

> Assistant level post: Must have completed 18 years and not exceed 35 years.

> Officer level (6th and 7th level posts): Must be at least 21 years old but not exceeding 35 years.

> Officer level (8th and 9th level posts): Must be under 40 years of age.

> Female candidates and disabled persons: Must be under 40 years of age.


Qualifications

Candidates must adhere to the Radio Broadcasting Service Development Committee Staff Service Conditions Regulations, 2077, and not be ineligible to be a candidate.


For officer level 8th and 9th posts, applicants must:

> Have passed the post-graduate level in Federal Civil Service, State.

> Have at least five years of service in civil service, local level service, or an official level post at a university, teacher service, or organized organization.

> Candidates with a bachelor's degree can apply with less than two years of experience.


Examination Mode

The selection process will include a written examination, a practical examination (where mentioned), and an interview.

Required Documents

Job Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be assigned tasks based on their respective services, groups, and sub-groups.


Probationary Period

Successful applicants will have a probation period of one year, reduced to six months for women.


Application Submission Dates

Online applications open 21 days from 2080/04/18 and close seven days later (2080/04/25). In the event the last date of application falls on a public holiday, the following day will be considered the last date of application.


Written Examination

The written examination for the advertised posts will be conducted by the Public Service Commission. The schedule for the written examination will be announced at a later date. Please note that the examination fee is non-refundable unless the advertisement is cancelled.


Special Considerations for Inclusion

Candidates applying for inclusion must provide additional documents:

(a) Tribal/Tribal communities: A certificate from the Chief District Officer confirming that you belong to a listed caste, as per the Nepal Tribal/Tribal Upliftment National Foundation Act.


(b) Madhesi communities: A certificate from the Chief District Officer affirming your Madhesi status.


(c) Dalit communities: A certificate from the Chief District Officer verifying you belong to a caste listed by the National Dalit Commission.


(d) Persons with disabilities: A disability certificate from the Social Welfare Council, issued upon the recommendation of an approved physician.


(e) Residents of backward areas (Acham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu, and Humla districts): A certificate proving permanent residency in one of these districts.


Application Process

Even if you're applying for different groups on the open and inclusive side, only one application form needs to be filled out. However, the first pages of the application form and the admit cards should be marked as prescribed, based on which group you'll be participating in for the open and inclusive group examination.
